Good comments... I cast my ballot for Tobey M, as the perfect Peter Parker, though Reeve is also a good option. I'm not as big on Christian Bale as you are; I'm not down on him either, but he didn't blow me away or anything. When Keaton was cast in '89, the thought was that he could never pull it off and he did, so in a way that was more impressive.

Obviously, I haven't seen IRON MAN yet, but when I saw Robert Downey was cast as ol' Shellhead I thought it was perfect. Who better than a real-life alcoholic to play Tony Stark? :-)

You didn't mention anyone from MYSTERY MEN, which of course is not a "serious" super-hero movie, but Ben Stiller and Hank Azaria were pretty damn funny.
