Killebrew is one of the all-time greats. Incredible slugger and wonderful person. My daughter Sam and I met him about 10 years ago at, of all places, the Ty Cobb Museum in Royston, Ga. There was some kind of event going on, and I went to write about it, but really wanted to meet Killebrew. Sam and I were impressed at how normal-sized he was (as a kid, he always seemed larger than life to me), and of course how pleasant he was to visit with. A most 'un-Cobb-like' gentleman.
