Kirk, Spock, and Mad

While searching for a good image to go with the recent post about MAD magazine's movie parodies, I came across this shot on the set of the original “Star Trek”:

Capt. Kirk, Mr. Spock, and Mad Magazine

How cool is that? Can anyone figure out the episode they were shooting? Tim?

The only one I can think of is the one with the Gorn, but as I understand it, a lot of TOS episodes were filmed out by those mountains.

My guess would be the opening scene from “A Private Little War.” Hair and costumes place it in second season, and in “Bread and Circuses” (another one where early scenes are shot in this environment), Kirk wears the green wraparound uniform.
