Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011)

When I was growing up, Elizabeth Taylor was often in the news and I always wondered what the fuss was.

Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in London in 1971

When I was in college I saw “A Place in the Sun” and realized what the fuss was:

Elizabeth Taylor and Montomgery Clift in "A Place in the Sun" (1951)

Rest in peace.

The Times runs an obit written by a guy who's been dead for six years? I can't decide if that's creepy or amazing...
