‘No Moral Center’

“The theatre of cruelty unfolding at the southern border last week was the purest distillation yet of what it means to be governed by a President with no moral center.”

— Margaret Talbot, “The Trump Administration's Family Values,” the main Talk of the Town piece in the July 2 issue of The New Yorker. By the way, that's the lede. The rest is just as good. Most of ain't exactly news but it's insightful and bare-knuckled and sad that we‘ve come to this. That we’ve come to this and 40% of the population is still cool with it.
